“What happened last night? The last thing I remember is trying to call my best friend, and the next thing I know, I wake up here in this bed with no memory of how I got here.”

After being betrayed by my lover, Owens Pierc—whom I had been dating for three years—I was reluctant to distance myself from my family after discovering my sister’s affair with him. To make matters worse, I was made her maid of honor at her wedding to Owens.

I then reached my limit and planned to call my best friend, Diya, to take me home. That’s the last thing I remembered.
