He puts his feet up on the back of Jon’s seat, his knees against his face. Somewhere in the back of my mind, a voice tells me that if the minibus crashed, his legs would drive right through his head. The concern is going to keep niggling at me if I try to ignore it, so I place my hand on his shins and gently press his legs back down. He gives me a crooked half-smile, and grudgingly obeys

It's just a beautiful hook like I don't know what else to say it's so wholesome and really dive into the ups and down of coming out and it's finally a book about coming out that didn't have the couple breaking up as it's climax or maim problem. This book actually gives beautiful perspectives and even sort of insights. I read this in 4 days
10/10 would read again. One of the best gay perspective books I've read especially because the characters spoke like they were real people, they're thoughts were real and just an enjoyable read, I felt like I could immerse myself and wasn't just reading words.
