Sometimes, while all the other third graders are in the classroom, Louis has to sit at a desk in the hallway to do his work. It’s not because he’s a bad kid or anything, but because he may disturb the class.
Louis has what grown-ups call “Tourette syndrome” and “obsessive-compulsive disorder”. These are big words that mean, every once in a while, he has outbursts and does stuff that may distract the other students while they’re trying to learn.
