Antain Mac Lochlainn

Dr. Antain Mac Lochlainn is a translator, author and critic from Coleraine, Co. Derry. Specialising in the Irish language, he has worked as an academic at the National University of Ireland (Maynooth) and Oideas Gael (Gleann Cholm Cille), a columnist for the Irish Times and other publications and more generally as an editor and translator. His publications include fiction, guides to translation and editing in the Irish language and educational courses for learners of Irish. His most recent translations include Irish language versions of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis and Asterix the Gaul by Goscinny/Uderzo.He is editor of the specialist translation website aistear.ie.
