Louis Hughes is a Dominican priest and a graduate both in Physics and Theology. He lived in India for seven years, where he lectured in Theology at St Charles' Seminary, Nagpur. There he began the practice and study of yoga, integrating Indian techniques for body training, breathing and centering with Christian Meditation. Since returning to Ireland he has researched, lectured and written on eastern religions and new spiritualities. He is a pioneer in the field of mind-body-spirituality. His previously published works include the books Body-Mind Meditation, and Yoga - a path to God?, as well as audio-tapes and a DVD 'Body Prayer'. He is currently Prior of the Black Abbey, Kilkenny.
