Angel Payne

Angel Payne is a USA Today bestselling romance author from Southern California. She writes passionate romance novels featuring memorable alpha males and the women who love them. She is known for series such as the Bolt Saga, Honour Bound, the Secrets of Stone series (co-written with Victoria Blue), Cimarron, Temptation Court, Suited for Sin and the Lords of Sin historicals series, as well as the WILD Boys of Special Forces series.

Born and raised in Orange, California, Angel Payne has lived in Orange County her entire life. She attended a local college and appreciates the area's blend of urban living and outdoor activities. “It’s a pretty fantastic place to live, though my bucket list includes living in Paris and San Francisco for at least a year each,” she said in a 2014 interview.

Payne began writing early, completing her first novel at eleven. "It was about a family in the space age who found a magic key that took them back in time," she recalled. She started writing romance novels in the mid-1990s, initially entering writing contests to receive feedback on her work. After winning a competition, she signed with an agent and sold her first book to Kensington Publishing.

Payne has written for four publishing houses and published independently throughout her career. She enjoys creating well-rounded characters thrown into circumstances that test their hearts and aims to write lyrical prose with snappy, sarcastic dialogue.

Alongside her solo work, Payne collaborates closely with Victoria Blue. Together, they co-authored the Secrets of Stone series, including the second book, No More Masquerade (2014), and were working on No Perfect Princess (2015).

Payne currently serves as Vice President of the Passionate Ink Chapter of the Romance Writers of America.

Angel Payne lives in Southern California with her husband and daughter, and in her spare time, she enjoys whisky tasting, shopping for shoes, and travelling.
