A long-lost screenplay for a notorious, never-filmed episode of the original Hammer House of Horror series has been novelised, revealing the chilling story that was so cursed, it shut down the entire second season of the show.

The Blood That Binds plunges into a seemingly ordinary market town where a terrifying, centuries-old ritual has taken root. A man is imprisoned in a cold, damp cellar, suspended on a hook as a captive witness to unthinkable horrors orchestrated by the merciless figure named Huseevo.

As the prisoner endures intense psychological torment and physical pain, he listens to the methodical snick-snick of a blade being sharpened, knowing the ritual—the feeding—is about to begin on another unseen victim. This is not a story of a haunted house, but a home where pure, ancient evil is deliberately cultivated, requiring a constant stream of new souls to sustain its existence for another century.

The man's only hope for survival is to carry the knowledge of the truth to the outside world, as requested by those who have already been consumed.

A tale of psychological dread, ancient pacts, and the cruellest role of all: not the victim, but the witness who lives to remember the horror that binds us all.
