Harold Guard

Harold Guard was a war correspondent for the United Press during a 24-year career in journalism. His reporting from the Pacific during World War II was widely acclaimed and at times controversial when he came into conflict with officialdom. He retired from journalism in 1959, and eventually moved to the south coast of England where he remained until his death in 1986.
