Merna Forster is the author of the bestselling Canadian Heroines series, which brings together the inspiring true stories of great Canadian women and compelling historical images. Born and raised in the Alberta foothills, she obtained her undergraduate degree in arts and sciences at the University of Alberta. A recipient of the Richard J. Schmeelk Canada Fellowship, the author earned an M.A. in history from Laval University in Quebec City. She was awarded the Canada 125 Commemorative Medal.
