Awesome. Better than the movie
Much different than the movie... in a good way.
OMG this had my body in chills for 2 days it took me to read it. This is an unforgettable book
Great book, decided to read after watching the film. Definitely worth reading, however, I do think the movie did a better job. The movie wasn't as graphic unfortunately, but the plot seemed more interesting in the movie compared to the book. Which is a first for me.
I legit cried a lot. Totally a must read!
Wonderful! If the Netflix movie left you unsatisfied, this is a must.
This is a book amazing. I like much it
Waist of time
Amazing read keeps you on the edge of your seat page turner for sure.
Captivating
Even after watching the movie, this book was a delight to read! Gulped it down in one sitting
It was fabulous 😍
Far better than the movie 😉
the most exciting part of the book for me was finding little and big deviations the movie made from it. clearly movie went more into the direction of classic zombie apocalypse with few typical for the genre adventures added. still the book missed some deepness of the set up of humanity facing some creatures not to be seen it was probably looking for. the most disappointing part is how easily civilisation falls apart in this relatively harmless environment. no organised effort of any type is present in the story. all neighborhood just died out quietly? parents let their child starve at home rather than trying to go out and search for food, for other people? nothing in this story tells that what the survivors group did couldn't be done by any other average family or group of friends. statistics. nothing makes malorie and her group to become outliers. people had phones and could stay in touch. they could call the guy on the radio to share neighborhood news etc etc. author has so little belief in humanity! and seriously, all the organized institutions of the country, all countries couldn't respond at all!?! in case of the zombie virus it spreads in geometric progression and it's kind of believable that things may fall apart too quickly, in this case it doesn't seem convincing.
Fascinating, once you've gotten to it, it seems impossible to stop reading it. Good suspense and plot twists.
Love it and the ending made me cry. We blindness is not a handicap
I loved this book. Been reading for pleasure for 60 years. I've always liked something a little bit different. This book kept me up at night, reading, and sorry when it was finished. I hope to read more from this author.
I have to say that I am very happy with the decision of reading this book. Well-written and it's one to keep you focus and you can't stop reading!
Searched for this book after the Netflix movie craving to know more. And I’m completely satisfied. The underlying message translated in a way that I could easily relate in my life. It was on edge and thrilling, I ate each page up hungry. It promotes strength through its female lead. You really get invested in the minds of each character especially the antagonist (I really wanted to know more about the creatures). You get lost in its imagery the details are described in a way that you are among they’re world
It was great! Had me keep reading and really scary.
Cried at the end
