Your Website Owes Them an Answer

Your Website Owes Them an Answer is written for small service businesses whose websites leave visitors without clear answers to the questions that matter most: what the business actually does, how it prices its work, and what to do next. When those answers are missing or buried, visitors leave quietly, and design adjustments or tagline rewrites rarely fix the problem.

The book's central practice is a buyer-question audit. It starts with questions real customers have already asked, gathered from existing emails, phone calls, and intake conversations, then uses those questions to evaluate each page on the site. Sections on the homepage, service pages, about pages, and contact pages show how to apply that audit in sequence, rewriting copy so that a visitor with a specific problem can find a direct answer without clicking around.

Two chapters address questions most service businesses tend to avoid. One covers pricing copy, including how to discuss a range or explain a pricing approach when exact figures are not practical. Another covers the harder objections that surface before a visitor decides to reach out at all.

The book closes with a buyer-question audit worksheet designed for repeated use alongside page revisions, a chapter on testing rewritten pages with readers who are unfamiliar with the business, a chapter on scheduling regular answer reviews, and a sample service page rewrite for a fictional landscaping company that illustrates the full approach.

A reader who works through this book will be able to identify where their website is losing visitors to unanswered questions, rewrite those pages around clear and direct answers, and build a simple process for keeping that copy current over time.
