Prevalence of School Bullying in Hungarian Primary and High Schools

Our research group established by the Department of Psychology at the College of Nyíregyháza investigates the phenomena of school bullying and harassment. The term ‘school bullying covers the behaviour where the aggressive act has no obvious cause (non-reactive aggression).

The aim of this present study is to reveal the structure of attitude— and behavior patterns that occur in the course of school bullying, the occurrence rate of the bully, the victim, the intervener participant, the helper participant and the bystander behavior patterns among primary students, in particular view of age and gender differences.
