Spending his youth in the rural farmlands of Pennsylvania, SmSgt William W. Davis decided he wanted to leave it all behind and discover new and wonderous places. That was when, as a young man, he joined the Air Force. His decades of being in the Air Force led him all across the continental United States, Hawaii, Taiwan, Japan, and eventually Alaska. The few years he had to experience the vastness of the Alaskan wilds are cherished memories recalled in minute detail. Stories of hunting with his Air Force friends, adventures out in the forests, and harrowing plane travel across the state are all within Adventures in Alaska.
