We Walk on Water

We lived together separated from the world, submitting ourselves one to another in the fear of God. For 31 years, I lived and breathed Biblical principles as taught by the ministry of the “Move” while living on common property with others who had left jobs, families and security to walk the road to Perfection. We educated our own children, we grew gardens and raised livestock, we shared meals and we birthed our babies at home. We prepared ourselves for the End Times. Some in town said that we walked on water.

I believed it was the right thing to do. These are my stories of living in a cult community forged in the backwoods of South Georgia from 1978–2009. The tales may not reflect common opinion, other’s experiences, general thought, Move mentality, or time sequence. I lived the life from 1970–2009. This is my story.
