PURPLE BURT is an illustrated sci-fi fantasy comedy musical novel about an 11-year old purple boy named Burt who accidentally turns himself invisible and color-blind after being ridiculed at school. With the help of his family and kooky friends he searches for acceptance, as well as his famous inventor purple dad who disappears completely when Burt becomes invisible.
Inspired by Mitch Friedman’s 2005 National Parenting Product Awards-winning concept album of the same name, described as “quirky,” “high-energy,” and “a musical Dr. Seuss.” A free download of the original recording, plus six new bonus songs is included inside.
