His short stories have also been shortlisted for a number of Awards, including: The 2003 Sean O'Faolain Short Story Award; the 2004 RTE Radio 1 Francis MacManus Short Story Award, the 2005 Pencil Short Story Prize and the 2006 Faulkner/Wisdom Award.
