“[These stories] vibrate with originality, queerness, sensuality and the strange.”—Roxane Gay
“In these formally brilliant and emotionally charged tales, Machado gives literal shape to women's memories and hunger and desire. I couldn't put it down.”—Karen Russell

    💀Spooky
    🔮Hidden Depths
    🚀Unputdownable

Definitely not for me. It was not at all what I expected. Although the writing is good and had some inetresting plot-twists, it finally did not grab my attention or interest...

I pressed on my brake once, twice, and the dark road behind me flooded red. The light revealed a herd of deer moving liquidly over the pavement, eyes glinting with each tap.
