Impressed by Tony’s performance in bringing the Zooni and Vluvidians of the surface together, both Peoples decide to have him as their official go-between and prime negotiator, in trying to avert a possible war of annihilation with the Toviananskamun. The stage for the Talks is set at a midway point in Space between the Human and non-human Worlds… Where with the highest stakes in play, everything is thrown at Tony; from lies and deception, to every trick in the book.
