Hilary Wilson is founding chairman of The Southampton Ancient Egypt Society, where she lectures to local interest groups, and has taught Egyptology for twenty years.

Other works include Understanding Hieroglyphs, an Egyptology primer, and People of the Pharaohs: from Peasant to Courtier.
