Gastrobot

What Is Gastrobot

Gastrobot is an acronym that was first used in 1998 by Dr. Stuart Wilkinson, who was the head of the University of South Florida Institute at the time. The phrase literally means “stomach robot.” “…an intelligent machine (robot) that draws all of its energy needs from the digestion of actual food,” is how one definition of a gastrobot reads. The energy that the gastrobot gets from its food may come from complex sources like carbs, lipids, and so on, or it could come from something more straightforward like alcohol.
