Several bodies have been unearthed in different locations by Merseyside Police. There is no single informant, no confession from a serial killer, in fact in each case it is a close relative of the missing person who provides the location. Inspector Jack Smith is put in charge, quickly discovering that it is a mysterious psychic who, whilst giving Tarot Card readings informs them of the fate of their loved ones.
