Excerpt from “Christ the Master Speaker:”

Comparatively few students of public speaking have thought of studying Christ’s method of delivery. This book, therefore, suggests a new and important field of inquiry. The supreme element in Christ's speaking was its authoritativeness. His clear, definite, vital message had the weight of eternity behind it. Absolutely convinced of the truth of his message, «He spoke as one having authority, and not as the Scribes.» As one has well said, «The form of Christ's teaching was as varied and as simple as were its methods. It was the spontaneous outcome of the requirements of the moment.
