Tight Rope of Depression

it’s not hard to see why I felt alone, never OK, and mostly afraid.

It’s not hard for me to see how my childhood experiences might make me answer yes to all of the “Do You Have Depression” questions?

it has always been one of those secret things that is “illegal” to talk about.

found myself in a constant struggle between trying to achieve amazing results, which I did regularly from an external point of view, and at the same time, dealing with knowing that I would never be ‘good enough’ or receive the approval of those I wanted to please.

My internal struggles were a secret.

I reflected again and again on how much I was sure that everyone in my life hated me because I was such a worthless piece of crap.

repeatedly wondered if there was any point in continuing to live.

One voice was talking about what an idiot I was, and the responding voice was talking about how I had done a great job ruining my own life

Those heroes who have enough patience to love and accommodate those who are ill have always been heroes and continue to be important in creating space and opportunity for those who are ill and those who are on the road to recovery.

The second group I hope to help his those who live with someone who is depressed. That can be a real pain. Depression is not fun, either for one who has it or one who watches
