The NPA theory of personality, based on three genetic traits (sanguinity, perfectionism and aggression) is used to map the worldwide distribution of character traits. Presence or absence of the traits gives rise to discrete character types. The model predicts stable polymorphisms of the character phenotypes that could be analyzed with the use of the classical Hardy-Weinberg concepts of gene frequencies and populations in equilibrium. Both indigenous and non-indigenous groups were typed across the world according to the three traits with the use of archival sources and information available on the internet. Our results are presented in the form of color-coded maps that depict the worldwide distribution of the character phenotypes, as well as of the three traits. The results are analyzed with respect to the “Out of Africa” concept of the ancestral migrations of Homo sapiens. Edition: ePub. Color figures, 104 pp. in printed version, maps, 25 plates, Synopsis of NPA theory.
