Kidnapped With A Werewolf

Tessa Krisley is a strong and independent woman, an executive at her grandfather's company who knows her worth and a beautiful avian shifter with wings that are the envy of many. Yet, whenever she finds herself in Nicholas's Jensen's presence, she loses the ability to string two coherent words together. Nicholas is unfairly handsome with mesmerizing eyes and an intensity to his gaze that makes her shiver with desire, but her shyness around her grandfather's corporate heir prevents her from having any sort of future with the man.

When they are kidnapped together, she must learn to handle her helpless crush on him and make herself useful. With her quick wit and his sharp fangs, she manages to escape with the man of her dreams. Lost in the wilderness with kidnappers afoot, they must learn to trust one another if they want to survive.

Will time spent together allow her to get over her love, or will she convince him to fall for her while figuring out a way to survive?

“It's getting really dark,” she said, taking the light over to Nicholas. “We should stick close to the fire. There are wolves in this part of the woods.”

He grinned. “Oh, if there's one thing we don't have to worry about, it's wolves,” he said with teeth that were completely human, but reminded her of fangs in the dark of the night.

She had forgotten about him being a werewolf, honestly. “Are you saying you could win a fight against a pack of wolves?” she asked.

“You know, I've never tried,” he quipped.

She huffed at him and turned her attention back to setting up their sleeping area. She had lined the place with balsam leaves and placed the sleeping back on top of it as a sort of cushion and protection from the ground that was fast growing wet.

She had retrieved from the bag a toiletry pouch, the sort that she recognized from the lodge that they had stayed in. It made her blood run cold.

“What is it?” Nicholas asked.

She started to shake her head, but her keeping her doubts to herself was what got them in trouble the first time, so she shared her fears with him. “Grandfather booked the lodge for the company over the week, so there shouldn't be any outsiders,” she said and then gestured at the toiletry pouch with the toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and face towels, all embroidered with their logo.

“So how is it that they've managed to get these?” he finished the thought for her.

She nodded. “Either they had stayed at the lodge before we arrived, or…”

Or someone in the company had been involved in the kidnapping. It wasn't too farfetched an idea. How had their kidnappers known that Tessa would be leaving today on the plane? How had they gained access to the lodge?
