What a waste of time. It is a short read, but there isn't much valuable information in it. I would say it is just a summary of all manner of cliches on social anxiety. I didn't notice it was that short. I was hoping for a more profound book. I wouldn't read it if I were you.

They don’t understand how hard it is for you to simply show up to a gathering and keep an expression besides abject fear or unyielding stress on your face. They don’t comprehend how courageous you are just to be out there, facing the fear that makes your mind reflexively try to fight or flee

Therefore, it makes sense that social anxiety has prehistoric roots, because of those roots and the amount of time it takes to evolve traits in humans, social anxiety, and shyness are an inherent part of our genetics.
