After Ezra refused the offer of the Pharisees who had offered him sixty pieces of silver to assassinate the preacher named Jesus from Nazareth, his entire world was turned upside down when a mysterious stranger appeared to him and asked him to go to Jerusalem to truly confirm if Jesus is truly the Messiah. On his arrival in Jerusalem, Ezra formed an unlikely friendship with the Nazarene, but he is soon dragged into a religious and political conflict that had ensued between Jesus and the leaders of the temple.
