Murder at Maypole Manor

unavailable
An isolated cliff-top Manor House, a sumptuous New Year’s party, a snowstorm, and multiple murders. Sounds like a case for Posie Parker!
New Year’s Eve, 1921.
As her reputation steadily grows, Posie Parker is asked to accompany the utterly charming Inspector Richard Lovelace of Scotland Yard on an undercover mission of entrapment. Their destination is a glittering New Year’s Eve party at the remote Maypole Manor in Kent, the cliff-top home of Lord Robin Glaysayer. Scotland Yard have one of the house guests in their sights as being a dangerous criminal, but which guest is it? Among the twelve guests are a famous film star, an artist, an Italian nobleman, a government spy and the Glaysayer sisters, one of whom is a mysterious clairvoyant and the other is a society ‘Bright Young Thing’.
As the party gets going, and a thirteenth house guest unexpectedly arrives, the champagne flows, and the snowstorm outside turns unsettlingly into a blizzard. Then their host, Lord Robin, is found murdered, and another guest too…. But why?
Cut off, and with no help coming, the Inspector and Posie’s skills are tested to breaking point as they try to find the murderer before they attack again.
A glittering 1920s cozy mystery, full of fast-paced intrigue and glamour, sure to thrill fans of Agatha Christie, Downton Abbey, Sara Rosset and Helena Dixon.
