OUT OF PROCASTINATION

Listen in app
Procrastination covers a very broad scope, and before people can fully understand and overcome their environment of procrastinating behavior, they must become familiar with the basics of procrastination. The following information can help you gain a clearer view and understanding of the fundamentals of procrastination.

The basics

Procrastination is the practice of delaying things or carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones. It is also the habit of doing pleasant things instead of those that are less pleasant only to find that imminent work has been postponed to later or even to the "last minute." Procrastination is the opposite of ideal productivity.

Producing is pulling and working forward to get things done, while procrastinating is pushing things forward to tomorrow, next week or probably never.

This habit or practice can fill your life with shame. There are even cases where some people curse themselves because of their laziness, their inability to concentrate on the important tasks at hand and the human tendency to get carried away by more immediate and easy gratifications.

Procrastination sometimes comes with good reasons and that is that the time you procrastinate is time spent figuring things out and planning future actions to take.

The positive side of procrastination is that it allows people enough time to solve complicated problems and generate ideas. There is no denying that there are truly unavoidable cases where people need to adopt the habit of procrastination.
