A quiet, introverted maths student suffers from insomnia, but decides to take matters into his own hands. What follows is a series of unfortunate events that end in death and terror. He finds the world of mythology intersecting with his own and struggles to balance the two, with the pressure coming from both sides. He is accompanied by a mysterious black cat.
