The Bible is a gift to mankind to understand the purposes of God from the beginning to the end. Rev 1:1  The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servant's things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: The natural carnal mind, cannot understand the eternal purposes of God and gets stuck in the individual stories rather than understand the working of God's Spirit in Time. God is not the author of confusion. 2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. We cannot change times or history, we can only understand spiritual principles and apply them in the Spirit. This final prophecy in the Bible is the consummation of all that was written from the beginning to the end and is summed up in one verse. Hebrews 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. Revelation is the hand of God revealed, which was still outstretched after He dealt with all the nations and Israel in Babylon. The book is about;1. The Christ - the head. ;2. The Church - His BODY 3. The adversary- The Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet, 4. The Removal- The Seals, the Trumpets, and the Vials & 5. The Kingdom- The Dwelling Place. Revelation is not a book to fear, there is a blessing contained for believers. Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. &&Revelation is not to be tampered with by private interpretations. We are also warned not to add or take away from this vision god gave to us. The Word is explained by the Word and the Spirit and we cannot change history. We have to hear what the Spirit says
