It had been a tough few years for farmers as the drought held its grip on the small farming community of Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. After operating in the red for three years, things weren’t good. Then, one by one, farmers started receiving foreclosure threats from the bank.
This year promises to turn things around. The rains have finally come. The farmers are counting on this year’s crops to pull them out of the red and save their farms.
But now, a more severe problem threatens to take their farms … and their lives.
The fire department has its hands full battling fire after fire to protect the farms as the police department hunts down the serial arsonist targeting the farms.
Friendships developed, and life lessons were learned as Ali Decord, a bright 13-year-old, and her family found themselves in the dead center of it all as they joined forces to stop an arsonist and save the farms.
