McGill and Gropper are unlicensed private investigators who operate out of a diner, and they're prepared to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
McGill, a former police officer, is an expert in dealing with their clients. Meanwhile, Gropper works in the shadows and does all of the legwork, which does occasionally include breaking legs.
When a trucker attacks a prostitute, her pimp turns to McGill and Gropper for protection. Taking the job means sabotaging a criminal enterprise and crossing dangerous, well-connected criminals who will stop at nothing to settle the score.
Have McGill and Gropper bitten off more than they can chew?
